Overview:

Syllabus: The Robot Learning lecture/ practical will be held as a compact whole-day/ whole week lecture/ practical from Feb. 1st to 5th 2010. Additionally, there will be a one-day pre-course in classical robotics in December or January, respectively (will be announced in the first meeting).

As a guest lecturer, we were able to invite Dr. Jan Peters from MPI Tübingen, who is one of the leading experts world-wide in robot learning. The lecture will feature around 10 tutorial sessions in the morning, covering the most important topics on robot learning and practical sessions in the afternoon. Grading will depend on the performance during the practical sessions. We plan to have a follow up seminar in the summer term, where the groups present their work in a peer-reviewed scientific paper. This will count for another 3 ECTS.
